Success! thanks to both of you.

Love this Software.

My excuse for such a basic mistake is that I am 69, my senior moment?

Kind Regards

Steve Cooper
No excuse whatsoever :-)
I am 68. Plus I have advanced prostate cancer and a new one discovered in one of my kidneys.

Yes. If I remember rightly the Airbus 360 landing speed is 160. However, I don't fly the big jets any more. I use the small personal jets and certainly the one's I fly have a final approach and landing speed of 120. Thanks for the tips fellers. Now I'm looking for that feller that keeps shouting 't...

In the aircraft preset box enter the final approach speed. However, remember that it is in fact the penultimate speed. It is not your over the fence Vat speed. For Concorde enter 190IAS For jets enter 160IAS keep this speed to 4DME For jets landing at max auw enter 170IAS keep this speed to 6DME for...

UGEE exists in my FS9. BUt not UDYZ. I went to onlineflightplanner and generated a fpl by substituting UGEE with UDYZ and
then manually editing the fpl to restore it back to UGEE. PF3 had no problem in generating its own version of the fpl.

With flight planning programmes there is always the assumption that they are correct and therefore the fpl is placed straight away into the aircraft's navigation equipment by the simmer without further ado. "All" the fpl programmes for sims both payware and freeware use similar algorithms ...

Thanks Vololiberista, and Dan 77 for those comments. I don't remember Hober being clearly out of place on the image, but maybe i wasn't paying attention. What i do now is let FP create the route, save it and then feed it into PFE3 and see what it says. If it says Wypts x and x are too close togethe...

On line flightplanner is usually pretty good. Before you download its fpl, it always displays an image of the route and what Dave shows above should have been immediately obvious as an error. It really isn't difficult at all to correct that by deleting that wypt and inserting another or not. You can...

Never take any "generated" flight plan for granted. Payware or not. In fact payware flight plan generators make the most mistakes. And that's why I don' use them. Always, always always check the generated fpl against actual airways data and published procedures for both the departure and a...

Second question, not so much an issue as I can deal with it, but is there a way to decend from let’s say FL380 to FL230 to FL100, rather then decend to FL350-FL320-FL300 and so on. It looks like your flight plan has a lot of waypoints that in some cases are very close together. This isn't necessari...

I'm sorry but I don't see how PF3 was descending you too early!
If your FMC is telling you to descend that has nothing to do with PF3 or even real ATC. Your FMC is only an aide memoire for the crew. You can as in real life ask PF3 to descend if it is fuel critical.
