Hehe, I don't let it do anything to the PC just use it to signal strange stuff and try to explain it myself. Like in this case, it just said there were 7 references to dll's and ocx's that weren't there anymore, right after an uninstall of PFE.

Damn it, but thanks, that could be it. It was automatically installed in \Program Files\Aerosoft\PFE and contrary to other installers there was NO warning whatsoever that it shouldn't be there. There's nothing wrong with the installer but for some reason it doesn't complete on some user systems.... I have several systems here, XP, Vista, Vista 64, Win 7 and Win 7 64 and the installer works perfectly on each one. If there was a problem I would attend to it. Well, how do you know it doesn't ...

I changed my callsign to URSA after also installing the cumulative update manually; couldn't hurt and maybe help.

Nothing changed. Eaxactly the same error in the log. If you send me a pfac999D.wav or tell me where it is I can see where the engine stumbles next.

Hello Dave, thanks for the quick response. I will try changing my callsign although I'm unsure in what way that would help; any suggestions for a new callsign lest I don't choose another 'wrong' one?
