The only other thing I can think of is that you are not installing it as administrator?

Hi,

I have had a similar problem with the "missing" msvcr71.dll and it's easy to fix.

You can freely download the MSVCP71.dll, just google it.

Once you have it, place it in the C:\windows\sysWOW64 folder.

Re-install PFE and all will be well.

That registry setting idea rings a bell.

I'll forward my email to aerosoft and let you know the result.

The last time I had this problem I was on Xp pro SP3, so I'm comfortable it's not a Win 7 issue.

Yes I did.

Nod32 gives false positives otherwise. I experienced it with ownloading the cumulative update.

All was well when NOD32 was disabled.
