I just checked for the service packs where you suggested but didn't find any listings for them. Guess that means I'll have to download them.
I only have low-speed dial-up so that will most likely take a few days! hahaha...
Can you send me a link to where I can update FDC?

Thanks,

Chris.

I have a boxed FDC and on the disc it says version 3.6. I downloaded the latest version of FSUIPC, but not sure which service packs I have for FSX.

Good afternoon Dave, The EXACT error message I am getting is "Error 429 Active X component can't create object in "set-up direct sound" routine".
I am not running a client PC so I will dump WideFS. I'm going to re-install FDC and see what happens.

Okay, so I downloded and installed FSUIPC4 and WideFS. The first one seems to be running correctly, but I don't know where to install the WideFS. Ran through all the set-up again for FDC and get the error message Error 429 Active X component can't create object in "set-up direct sound" rou...

I finally got the Error 58 dealt with, and now there's another problem.
I got everything set to go flying, hit connect and get this message:

IPC request contains bad data. Check FSUIPC version.
(3.2 or later required)

3.2 or later required? I have version 3.6!
Help please!!
