I was fortunate enough to be a beta tester on this plugin and I can tell you that it works very well in X-Plane. I believe the plugin just allows PFE to communicate with X-Plane. there was no reverse engineering of PFE to get it to work.

Hi Dave,
I tried the method of creating the dummy FSX.EXE file but it still didn't work. I happen to have FSX still on my computer so I copied the FSX.EXE app from that directory and it worked. I don't know why the dummy file didn't work. Thanks for your efforts.

Dave,
Thanks for taking the time to look into this. I don't know why you would have a difficult time installing on Windows 7. I have P3Dv3 on a W7 system.

I've tried everything I know of to try and rebuild the database. As of right now, there is no way to do it. I even reinstalled FSX to use that. I moved the runways.csv file that I compiled in P3D and copied it over to FSX. PFE came back with an error message. err:53 file not found. Erl:2030.

There has been some discussion about it being done but I'm not sure how well it works.

Hi Dave,
I'm sure this has been asked before, but have you ever considered doing a version of PFE that was compatible with X-Plane?

Regards,
Mike W.

A new version of FSUIPC was released today and that fixed my display window problem. I did just a little playing around with PFE and it seem to work fine. The key commands all seem to work but I did not do a complete flight.

I would also like to know if you did anything special to get PFE to work with P3Dv2. When I activate PFE all I get is a single message line with the letter d in it. I have multiline message checked in FSUIPC. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the response, Andy and Dave. Ok, I'll give it a try.
