Have to admit the more I experience with PF3 the more I like it! Also thumbs up for the great support! quick replies even during the weekend are not obvious I remember the days I used PF2000 with FS9 I guess its time to come back (I've used RC4 in the last 10 years) :D I have a question about vecto...

Hi,
I am attaching an example of an overshoot.
FAF default ALT is set to 2,000 ft at a distance of 8 NM however approach cleared me to 4,000 ft (final altitude before clearing me for the approach).

Shomron, you're really very good in finding all those little imperfections of PF3 quickly. :D However, also this one can easily be handled. As Dan said, you should have waypoints at a distance of around max. 50nm where your estimated TOD is for a better result. You can for example easily insert a u...

You will get a much better result with waypoints that are more evenly spaced, rather than the extremely long segment between HOLTR and BRIGR. Even so, your descent instruction was "at pilot's discretion" which means you do not need to start down at that time. You can begin your descent wh...

Hi, I was cleared so early, I got to my target altitude more than 100NM from my last way-point (using the descent rate set in the preset). Attached are the log and the flight plan. I assume this is because there was a large distance between the way-points? But still why would the program not provide...

Hi, Using the default FAF distance of 7 and even a lower FAF altitude of 2,500 (default is 3,000) I get vectors which bring me to intercept the localizer too late (after the GS is below me) forcing me to disconnect the autopilot and manually intervene. This happens in airports which are around sea l...

I took a quick look at the logs. Your flight plan was fine; in fact I flew KSTL-KMDW with exactly this flight plan a few months ago. Your last waypoint (STKNY) is 29 miles out which is fine, and PF3 has 9000 for the altitude at that point which is as expected for about 30 nm out. The only thing I s...

Appreciate if someone can initially just let me know if the logs I sent are sufficient? I did not have any debugging options on...but saw some files in the folder got updated during this flight so some logging was indeed working. Also, please let me know if something in my setup was wrong as I do no...

Hello, So I had a bad flight today... :? Attached are the logs and the flight plan. Using latest version 3.9.0 I've created a flight plan from KSTL to KMDW (NATCA3 SPI DCT PHEEB ENDEE4) where the last way-point was 38NM away from KMDW (no STAR defined, wanted to be vectored). I was getting the feeli...

Please zip your PF3\Logs folder and attach it to your post. This contains the log information from your last flight and is the only way we can see what happened. A quick word about long downwind legs: This is often due to the FAF distance being set too high. You can shorten the downwind by reducing...
