Dave, Another hand up for the fix. Am always adjusting altitudes as the sids have an end altitude, e.g. out of EGLL, the UMLA1F. Per published SID supposed to cross UMLAT at 6000. The Waypoint Altitude Adjustment panel shows the first waypoint as EGLL at 83 Cur Alt. Then immediately goes to 35000 at...

Most correct on that! No log...no problem. ;) Going for the grand flight today. KIAD-RJAA. Nearly 13 3/4 hours. If the system survives this, then it's all been worth it. 1 1/2 hrs in and running perfectly. That said, I am coming up with a wish and minor bug list, but that is in the future. I expect ...

The flight is in the books! Thanks Dave for your help, much appreciated. Did have one problem with PF3, likely user error. After going to oceanic and checking in, that was the last I heard from PF3. I have PF3 in CP Mode 2, so was surprised when there was no further communication with ATC. After 2 h...

Hi Dave, You were close. The culprit appears to have been the video driver. My GTX 970 settings for FSX could not deal with Prepar3D. I finally witnessed the event at the exact moment it happened and also found an error in the event log. The flash on the screen at the moment of a video driver crash ...

Have tried several more flights. It's not the mouse software. The jury is out on the video card. Have run stress tests and does not fail but when P3D fails it looks like the video driver has "crapped out". The system runs fine during the run up to the flight, then about 10 min into the fli...

No updated runway due to user error! Go figure. One must (that would be me  ) make sure you check the P3D Data on the SIDs/STARs screen. Another note for my install notebook to be sure.

Live and learn.

It now appears, fingers crossed, that the problem lies with the mouse software. Have left it off and no crash, which is a disappointment. The mouse has over 12 buttons and works wonderfully, when not crashing the system, as a way to control ChasePlane. Mapping the camera movements into the mouse wor...

Decided to start over, this time taking notes and installing layer by layer, something I didn't religiously do the first time around. I've had very good luck with ActiveSky so that is not my prime suspect. All of this worked on FSX:SE except for the OOM issue. I've waited years for 64-bit and now th...

Thanks Dave. Not what I had hoped to hear but not surprised either. As I've said before the fact that any of this works is amazing to me. Have also had trouble with the Corsair Utility Engine system that controls my fancy gaming mouse. I de-installed it and PF3 before trying again with the same resu...

Attempted a flight and crashed the sim shortly after takeoff. Expect I have a setting not correct as I have yet to get ATC to work with Prepar3Dv4. PF3 was working great with FSX:SE. Problem was FSX:SE was crashing at the end of my long haul flights due to the expected OOM condition. So, on to Prepa...
